Even if the adapter is dewing formoisture, C500 still can get the accurate CO2 values.The C500 is designed specifically for mainstream measurement of CO2 using sophisticated infrared absorption spectroscopy. the measurements are taken at the patient airway at a sampling frequency of 100 Hz, so response is faster and there is less chance of erroneous, artifact data. It uses the same interface to the patient monitoring system as the C300 Sidestream CO2 Module making it easy to configure a patient monitoring system with CO2 monitoring technology that is affordable and easy to use.

Calibration

No routine user calibration required. An airway adapter zero is required

when insert an airway adapter.

Safety lock-outs:

in the airway adapter.
